as per 1st given condition,
l = 3 + r...............(1)
as per 2nd given condition,
(l - 5) + ( r - 5) = 41
Put the value of "l" from (1) and we get;
(3 + r - 5) + ( r - 5) = 41
solve parenthesis and we get;
r - 2 + r - 5 = 41
2r - 7 = 41
add 7 to both side and we get;
2r = 48
divide both sides by 2 and we get;
r = 24
Put value of "r" in (1) and we get;
l = 3 + r = 3 + 24 = 27
So, lilia's age = 27
and rose = 24
