Under this topic, you can learn to find Greatest and Smallest Number. Following are some examples explaining in detail :-

Example 1 = 84, 467, 2078, 999
Answer = Greatest Number 2078, Smallest Number 84

Example 2 = 5, 758, 439,303, 9999
Answer = Greatest Number 9999, Smallest Number 5

Example 3 = 546, 3674, 827, 50
Answer = Greatest Number 3674, Smallest Number 50

In the above example 1, 2 & 3, we just look at the question and can very easily find out the answer that which number is the
greatest or smallest number. The greatest number is in thousand digits and the smallest number is in hundreds or in tens digit.

Now, go through from some difficult examples

Example 4 =How you can compare between 8956 and 5763?
Answer = Firstly, we look at the thousand place digit and compare between them which is bigger/smaller,
The given numbers are 8956 and 5763,
Among them 8 is greater than 5.
Hence, we can conclude that 8956 is greater than 5763.

Example 5 = Compare between 5435 and 5875 and give the greatest and smallest number.
Answer = Firstly, we compare the digits at thousand place and found that both the digits are equal i.e. 5
So, we now compare the digits at the hundred place,
The given number 5435 has 4 in its hundred place and 5875 has 8 in its hundred place.
As 8 is greater than 4,
So, we can conclude that 5875 is greater than 5435.
