Following example explains How to Find or Locate Fourth Term in a Statement of Proportion.

Example 1 : Find fourth term of the following:
a) 1 : 2 :: 11 : 22
b) 15 : 30 :: 8 : 16
c) 50 : 25 :: 8 : 4


Answer = Fourth Term of the following ratio in Proportion:

a) 1 : 2 :: 11 : 22 (Fourth Term is 22)
b) 15 : 30 :: 8 : 16 (Fourth Term is 16)
c) 50 : 25 :: 8 : 4 (Fourth Term is 4)



Example 2 : Find fourth term of the following:
a) 10 : 20 :: 1 : 2
b) 5 : 30 :: 2 : 12
c) 3 : 27 :: 1 : 9


Answer = The proceed is as :

a) 10 : 20 :: 1 : 2 (Fourth Term is 2)
b) 5 : 30 :: 2 : 12 (Fourth Term is 12)

Example 3 : Find fourth term in the following statements of proportion
