And the place value of all the digits of decimal 1234.5 is as follows:

Digit 5 is at tenths place, so its numeric value = 5
10

Digit 4 is at ones place, so its numeric value = 4

Digit 3 is at tens place, so its numeric value = 30

Digit 2 is at hundreds place, so its numeric value = 200

Digit 1 is at thousands place, so its numeric value =1000

Now as per the numeric values; given decimal 1234.5 can be written in expanded form as:

Digit 5 is at tenths place, so its numeric value = 5
10

Digit 6 is at hundredths place, so its numeric value = 6
100

Digit 4 is at ones place, so its numeric value = 4

Digit 3 is at tens place, so its numeric value = 30

Digit 2 is at hundreds place, so its numeric value = 200

Digit 1 is at thousands place, so its numeric value =1000

Now as per the numeric values; given decimal 1234.56 can be written in expanded form:

1000 + 200 + 30 + 4 + 5
